
![]() Here's a re-post from my old website that I thought would be worth putting up again. It's an interesting video and newspaper article that I collected back in the 80s about the old Tasmanian bushman Turk Porteous talking about Thylacines living along the upper reaches of the Arthur River. In the newspaper clipping Turk also mentions how thylacines use to follow them home at a distance after fishing trips, this corresponds with a report my father collected in the second world war from a Tasmanian fur trapper about how thylacines would follow him from a distance when he was going around his trap line.
